Caernarfon

Caernarfon is a northern Welsh fantasy kingdom ruled by the Gwynedd family for many centuries. The regnant, Queen Caera Anne Gwynedd makes her home at Caernarfon Castle, located on the southwest end of Menai Straits. Here, humans, dragons, drow, orcs and elves live along side one another and gods visit. Place of enchantment where roleplay, gaming and warcraft have reached an art form and runes are yet known. Return from the crusades, be a seeker your quest, live a life found in Camelot and write your own dreams.

Our Rooms

Main room of Caernarfon, Beaumaris Castle
The royal castle is located at Beaumaris, where regnant, Queen Caera Anne Gwynedd makes her home. The mighty fortress of Beaumaris Castle and the village on found on Menai Strait.

Outlands of Caernarfon, Castle Dolbadarn
Where Caernarfon and Conwy castles were and the surroundings, the lands were deeply affected. There are tears or rips between planes and times, which cause strange creatures, odd looking humans to fall through these rips and barbarians from the south cross over. On the edge of this wild domain, is Castle Dolbadarn. This is a place where the tales of Robin Hood, Merlin, Arthur and the Round Table can come alive, the eagle banners of the Romans once flew, thrones have been won and lost and the god, Thor and perhaps even barbarian Conan yet walk. A realm for the seeker of adventure.

Anglesey Isle, Aberlong Castle
North of Beaumaris lies of the lands of Aberlong and the castle, belonging to Prince Tomas Fletcherson of Caernarfon. This is the northern most border of the kingdom of Caernarfon.

General Rules

• You are accountable for the rules even if you haven't read them. The same rules apply for the main room and subrooms. RPO site rules are strongly followed here.
• Castles And Who Belongs In Them

• Yes, we have castles in our home, but unless you have business there, been invited or visiting royals, you do not need to be within the walls. Wandering around in guarded areas in the castle can get you killed; as was the standards in these times. Don't have false expectations of staying in the castles, they arent B&Bs, but are military fortresses. There are inns in the towns and villages.
• Our castle gates are manned with guards at all times, so you will be checked at the gate, so don't say, "it was unlocked and I walked in."
• OOC Chatter and ~O~ Observer

• This is a role play room; OOC, out of character remarks are to be taken to PM, private messaging or kept at a minimum.
• Don't enter with OOC or ~O~ with your name or in your tags. Come in to roleplay. No watchers or observers are permitted. When you come in, you are expected to participate in roleplay. If you are new, ask for assistance from the Room Leader or a room member. We will be happy to help you get started.
• Names and Tags

• Take a real name, not an anonymous one. Punctuation alone used in place of a name will be booted without warning.
• Avatars

• No nude avatars. Keep private body parts, privat. There are somethings we don't want to know about you.
• Maximum width of an avatar or cloak may not exceed 750 pixels; the height is not to exceed 425.
• Acceptable Roleplay
• 
  
  
• Ranks are earned. The highest rank you can bring in to the room is Sir, Lord or Lady, unless you hold a higher rank in an actual, proven medieval room. If one of members question you, you will be asked to provide a link to your room. Visiting dignitaries from actual, proven, medieval rooms are welcome, of course, to display their title.
• For clarification purposes for our rules, we do not consider LKH, WW or FF vampire rooms, as proven medieval rooms.
• No child characters allowed, therefore, there will be no role playing of pregnancy. No pictures of children will be posted in the room, even your own. If your "face" in your Av looks younger than 18, it will need to be verified the Av model is 18 or over and that the model was at least 18 at the time of the photograph.
• No critter roleplay and this includes shapeshifters, cats, dogs and the rest of the animal kingdom, real or fantasy. If you have an approved character sheet, which allows shifts, just maintain a human type form in the room. There may be times for roleplay purposes they will be temporality be allowed A dragon is not considered an animal or critter.
• We are a medieval theme room and we do not accept characters in the room which are after the historical timeline of the Middle Ages. All characters are to keep their posts in the medieval theme and if you insist on bringing modern roleplay in the room, it will be considered a disruption. Read our guidelines for more clarification in needed.
• No supernatural or demonic beings, vamps, zombies and ghosts in the room. There may be times for roleplay purposes when they might be temporality allowed. A reminder, visiting gods, unless they have an approved character sheets will be considered as normal humans.
• Visiting Dragons will retain human form unless they have an approved characer sheet and from proven Medieval room. Your character is going be treated as a human without any special racial or magical abilities.
• For those considering gender bending, you must ask permission of the room leader before playing your character. Use a Caernarfon message board private message or the Caernarfon OOC Forum to make the request. Do not ask in the room. You must make the post yourself for your character.

Banned

Banned List, this link will take you a list of known characters and names of banned players. All on this list are boot on sight. It is with sadness, we have found the need to make this list. Our rules are not difficult to follow and we respectfully ask you to do so..

Other Rules

• Full Kill and Mirror Zone
  

  
  We are a full kill and mirror zone. Mirror zone means if your character or our members are unable to kill, capture, raid or use magic in your proven medieval home, then you can't do it here. Be warned though, we can still kill you.

• At least two defenders who are members of the kingdoms main room or subroom you are in must be present, before a non-member attempts an attack, kill, raid or capture in our home. A defender is a member of the kingdom you are in who is wearing Knight, Ranger, Paladin, Man at Arms, Shield Maiden or Guard tags.
• Example would be, if you arrived in Dragonwyck, there would need to be two defenders wearing either, Knight, Ranger, Paladin, Man at Arms, Shield Maiden or Guard tags, who are wearing on their tag saying they are a member of Dragonwyck. Of course the rest of our rules would apply to the situation also. This rule can be lifted by a Room Leader.
• Without a legitimate and verifiable, proven medieval home and character name in your tags listed as one of their members, you may not kill, attack, raid or capture in our kingdoms. Please note the Mirror Zone Rule above. Also Kill and Combat Rules apply.
• We don't have any one spell or one post kills.

• Magic Rules
  
  

  • Magic, special powers and abilities beyond natural human abilities will only be allowed if a Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 Edition character sheet has been submitted in writing on the Caernarfon Lore Character Sheet Request Forum and approval has been given by the Lore. We accept characters sheets which have been given approval by Citadel of Shadows.
  • After approval of your character sheet, your character's name will be added to our published approved list.
  • Without character sheet approval, your character's abilities will be that of a human without any special powers and or abilities. There are no exceptions to this rule.
