It is my proud duty to welcome you to Stargate Command. If you have made it here you have proven to be above and beyond the best of the best, in either the military or civilian fields. From this base you will be a part of a select few who will step through the Stargate to explore the worlds they lead to. It is through this exploration that we hope to improve the quality of life for mankind.

Sadly not every path is an easy path. Some worlds we have encountered in the past, and some races have proven to be hostile towards not only Earth, but humans in general. For more details please see the attached Intelligence packet that has been prepared for you.

Military personnel unfamiliar with Stargate command will be integrated, and you will retain your current pay grade and rank, with all privileges and duties included thereof. You shall report to Chief Master Sergeant Walter Harriman for your training, barracks assignments, and team assignments, and then to your individual team commanders.

For civilians, several of you will find the transition process to be difficult, but we have people here to assist in that regard. This base is populated by both civilians and military persons. While we do not ask every civilian to pick up a weapon and fight, we do ask that you use the skills that brought you here to the best of your ability. You will also report to CMS Harriman for barracks and team assignments.

In order to assist all arriving personnel in the transition we have several people available for training or education, and we ask that you keep in mind the following rules of the base (See attached File SGC: Rules and Regulations)

1) All Roleplay Oasis rules apply. If you have not read them they can be found Here Ignorance is not an excuse.

2) The room is Moderated by Stargate Command (Exusiai, Doodlebug, Darkthorne, Manda). We are here to help you as best we can. If any problem/issue/questions arise, please feel free to one of us drop a pm on the board.

3) All players MUST be 18 years of age or older. all public RP will be kept PG or PG-13.

4) There will be no GOD MODDING. In this free form RP set in the Stargate Universe. You will create and take on the role of a character in that setting, therefore your character will be either human or near human with all the weaknesses inherent to that form. Beyond that the only limits are your own imagination.

5) Please keep the chatter ooc comments in the hallways to a minimum . While this is a mixed base, it is still a military base, and a certain level of order is required for it to continue to function.

6) If there are any interpersonal conflicts Ooc conflicts/drama/fights please take them and yourselves outside the base and resolve the issue. If you can not coexist, then don't talk to each other. If the problem can't be solved between the parties, please let me know and I'll do what I can to help.

7) Remember! We're all here to have fun and get away from the everyday. Please don't feel that you're being treated unfairly. It's the way the rp goes.

8) All 'enter name here' entries will be asked twice to take a name, failure to comply will result in being ejected from the base (Booted). Remember this. Even if you're a room member. I will boot you for anonymous names.

10) All actors/actress's in use will be posted on the message board. If you want to reserve one, post it on the board.

11) NO NUDE AV'S! This is a military based rp room. Think about it before you wear it. If it's showing boob or is questionable to the integrity that the military would uphold, then it's too skimpy. If you have one and you want to use it in pm, that's your choice.
